Have been hunting round for a trailer for a while but didnt want to buy a new one ($$$). Found a trailer that'd seen better days for $100. Still licenced but lots of surface rust and the lights were faded and didnt work.
So 2 Days of fiddling round and its sanded, resprayed and fully rewired with new lights :-). New tyres are still to come courtesy of a mate.
Is nothing fancy, but I thought I'd show what ive been working on anyway.
Thanks
Jeff

Jeff, Nice work.
I did the same as you about 20 years ago. The trailer I bought was a 1960 model Tregonning (good quality
Adelaide brand). It had a 2 1/2 ton axle, and the bearings were Chev, and were huge - they needed replacing and it was hard to get new ones. I bought 2 new
wheels (16inch Dodge) for $10 each from
Gordon Tregonning's back shed. A set of new 9 leaf springs, new bronze bushes and I had a trailer that we took
camping thoughout outback SA.
That trailer's still fine - carries an honest ton, and its now 47 years old.
And I painted it the same colour as yours - Marine Blue.
Cheers
phil
