we just purchased a camper with a chescold 3 way fridge. it works on 240 and 12v
but appears no gas is getting through when trying to light on gas(can't smell any). Regulator is working. Any suggestions on what may be causing blockage. cheers

Hi molzy

I also have a camper with a 3 way frig.(cub)
The inside burners worked ok but the BBQ didn't work too good and the frig worked but not too good.
So I changed the reg and all work great now also moved the reg so it was above the gas cylinders.
Someone on this site recommended to move the reg so I just did it.
(can't remember why now)

The point I'm making is I thought the reg was working and OK but it wasn't.
This could be your prob as well.

Cheers Jeff

G'day molzy, sounds like a blocked jet, or if the gas hose hasn't been connected for a while, sometimes mud wasps block the connection where the the gas hose connects to the safety valve, or this might sound like a dumb question, but i have seen it happen a few times, but is there any gas in the bottle?, if it's a blocked jet or gas line and your not sure how to fix it, email me and i'll give you instructions how to clear it, cheers, Dave. atrekcamping@ozemail.com.au

thanks dave, yes there is gas in the bottle( a good suggestion though) and regulator is working as we use it on other appliances. will check hose and jets tomorrow morning as this seems the most likely cause (hopefully!) It hasnt had use for a long period of time but is in good nick. we also have a trailblazer so probably wont get used much but it would be good to get it going on gas for longer stays. thanks for the help.

molzy,
When my 3 way wasn't working as it should on gas, the problem was a partially blocked jet as mentioned above.
Cheers,
Bros.

We find our fridge in our Jayco Dove a lot easier to light if we first light the stove - that makes sure all the air is purged from the lines.
