Off to the Centre &
Kimberley (Roads permitting) on Sat morning. Hope to run
across some EOites somewhere in our travels. Plain silver Jack with Gunmetal
C/t. EO sticker across tailgate. Look forward to meeting Willem on Sunday if all
goes to plan. Will post high & low lights upon return. Will also record fuel prices
& consumption & general road conditions, may assist those travelling later in season. At the moment itinerary may be affected by road closures but will deal with
that as we go, hopefully things will improve as we get closer to those areas. We
record our thanks to all who have assisted our enquiries through this
forum.
Although not first timers,we have gleaned much useful info for this trip from EO
& are never too old to learn. Old shearer mate (& travelling companion) has only
come up with 1 litre of his favourite JB, but says that should do for the first night.
He assures me there is a pub at Overland Corner. He's a bit of a worry sometimes.
Bring it on........oldbaz.

For your info there is a put at Overland Corner and it is worth a visit. A lot of history there.
Helen and Andrew are the proprietors and will make you very welcome. He is a chef and provides a very good meal.

Do not know the condition of the road. I am in
Katherine - a fair distance from the Tanami.
You should be able to find that info on the net. Make sure you do a slight detour and have a look at Wolfe Creek Meterorite Crater - 2nd largest in the world.

much much rain throughout the
kimberley and into the ne of wa - most roads closed (as of friday lunchtime) - the dirt roads may be closed for a while due to the late onset of the 'wet'. before heading into wa
check with the main roads especially re tanami and any/all roads and tracks to the north. have a great time. rgds
