Hi everyone,
I am asking for comments for & against the Koala brand camper trailer. We are considering buying a new one, & live near Bundy where they are made but would like some
feedback. Thanks

Not sure about buying an ex-rental car/4wd .....
I had tourist on board asking me about the little button on the automatic gear stick .... O/D .... When I explainet the concept of O/D they undestood why the toyota corolla they rented in
Alice Springs was using so mutch petrol .....
They fly up to 150 k/h the corollas without using O/D .....
DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BUY A CAR LIKE THIS????

I have a ex Koala Camper. I have the box trailer, the other bloke I bought it off kept the camper section off the top for a Ute...
The trailer QC is very poor..
One trip to Alice, I lent to bloke in the club, all the guard mounts all broke - both sides, the rear swingout tailgate - 1 hinge broke... Pretty disappointed.
but Mr Al came to the rescue and welded so it wont happen again.. Little cautios of where to take it now.. :(

Hi Robray,
I also live near Bundy and have checked out the Koala range of campers very closely and agree with the comments above.
What I saw was very poor quality materials and workmanship not to mention terrible customer relations skills. However that seems to be standard practise wherever you go in
Bundaberg.
I am not sure if they are still building them but the best quality campers I could find in
Bundaberg are Amazon Camper Trailers. They are built in an engineering workshop on Enterprise St near the exhaust
shop. These are very
well built and completely hot dipped galvanised after all of the welding is completed. They used very good quality components and are good value.
I have no connection with Amazon but when I am ready to purchase they're top of my list.
