Link points to renders of an uncovered 200 series.
If accurate, it looks better than the mules we have seen in previous spy pics

Yes the BMW Headlights.
New to the Land Cruiser range will be the addition of Toyota’s 5.7L V8 engine sourced from the Tundra pickup, which will also feature in the upcoming Lexus LX 570 SUV. The VVT-I equipped V8 will come with a six-speed automatic and is likely to develop close to 350hp.
There could possibly be a smaller 4.5L V8 turbodiesel engine producing 203hp and 317lb-ft. of torque, with 90% of twist starting from just 1,200rpm.
No Doubt the Fellow's over at Nissan must be looking at one another wondering what to do especially after the total disaster of the 3 Liter Diesel that even to this day keeps blowing up.
Regard's
John

I know the link I posted is biased toward US spec vehicles, but does this twin turbo diesel exist ?? Or will Toyota pov pack it for Australia and run with the single turbo as in latest 70 series just released.
Will they offer a petrol option in Oz ? I bet we don't get the 5.7l VVTI.
Cheers

My guess is not. I think the 70 series is the new pov pac.

will play an important role in providing an alternative to the market following
the discontinuation of the standard Toyota LC100 Wagon."

Looks quite nice but I don't like the sound of the airbag
suspension one bit.
Hope the V8 diesel is a firebreather. It will need to be for the US market.
Guess I'll wait and see.

Air bags could become a money spinner especially the cost to repack/set.
How sensitive are they going to be.

The power and torque figures that have been quoted for the 4.5l V8 are lower than what the twin turbo diesel V8 is rumoured to produce. The 5.7l V8 would be great but would be surprised is we get it here. More likely is a 4.7/5.0l V8 in Oz. Also the Prado 4.0l V6 rumoured for Oz.
Just to go over another rumour, hydraulic and not airbag
suspension is likely for the upspec models (Sahara?).
Love the look of the 200. Very nice.

May be wrong, but can't see the spare tyre underneath! Does that mean they just left it off, or is it going to be stored in a compartment under the rear cargo area floor, which in no time ARB and TJM will have mods to remove and replace with a
water tank and stick the spare plus another one on a rear carrier!!!???
