Hi all just a warning for any body with 100 series with factory sat navs in dash. Besides the usual portable one's we take from car to car that are been stolen by the dozen the latest are the factory ones in the cruisers. My mate that works for Toyota had the GIO claims bloke in to put the insurance through for the customer and he told them they are getting stolen quit frequently from the 100 series. $11k to be replaced including new wiring harness from the computer right through. These blokes new what they were doing no broken dash panels, no scratches. They break a window to get access, pull dash apart which in this case ment the centre console due to the dual air con system around the tbar and so
forth unscrew everthing and took it. The only damage was the broken window and the main wiring loom which they cut in half so they still had the plug connected to the back of the gps so they can obviously wire it up. 2 week old vehicle has now being sitting at toyota for 3 1/2 weeks waiting for wiring loom from Japan. Might pay to hang a towel over the dash when not in vehicle to cover the satnav as they are an option so not every model has one fitted. I cant get over the price to be repaired 11K wow. Think I'll stick to my $600 one. Regards Steve M

I'm not sure which theft is worse; that of the low-life, or that of Toyota!!
