hilux problems

I have a mate whose new td hilux has had a new diff, new clutch, 2 new injectors and had now developed a very loud noise in engine. All this at 8000km.This mate has always told that my navara, 85000km would be a problem. I lmfao as i leave him at the lights

Your mate should of got a navara. No one wants to be left at the lights.

Sounds like a Friday built 4b and once he gets it sorted under warranty he will have the better vehicle.

On the Top Gear program they described Toyotas as boring because they never break down. Perhaps Toyota didn't like being called boring and are trying to correct it with the new Hilux.

Yes it was one of the first sold. His clutch literally blew up while in SA towing his small camper on tar, Then his diff crunced while driving to work one day and now 2 injectors have seized which the mechanic said is very common in the new lux's and cruisers. His warranty look after has been good and I am sure Toyota will adress the problems but I would be very upset after spending almost 50k

Reason for asking is that my van also has a loudish rattling type noise that I'm told is 'normal'. It's been noted on the Service records so if anything worse develops I should be covered. Only 4000km.
