Take a look at Milmed Rock in Big Desert if you get the chance but if you intend to climb it ensure you have at least 4 hours of daylight - great views.

Eric
You will enjoy the Murry sunset patk, there are some great tracks in there , just be careful of the Mallee roots protruding from the edges of the track, So close to Melbourne and civilisation but once in there you would think your way outback .

Eric,
FYI - On your way down to the Ocean Rd, there's as good shire camp ground south of Dimboola on the Wimmera river on the edge of the Little Desert NP - called 'Horse shoe bend'.
If you've got time on ya hands the border track (SA / Vic border - the length of Big Desert NP) is worth the trip. Its a North to South track only so you'll be heading in the right direction. You'd need to allow a day. If reqd, there are some camp sites (bit rough) along the track.
Enjoy
Paul.

I have uploaded a copy of the Border Track and if you have a Garmin you can get it from the Members File Swap if you want it.

We might pass on the road Eric. I'm heading to the Blue Mnts via Ouyen and Swan Hill, if I get an early start I'll drive through Sunset otherwise I'll stick to the bitumen, that'll be Tues 17th. White Patrol, UHF 27.
