Pat and I are heading to Daley River during May and note that there are a number of caravan parks etc. that look interesting. Has anyone a reccomendation, we are interested in barra fishing and will carry crab and cherebin traps, park or
free camp doesn,t matter, we are self contained.
Cheers, Nev.

goodday nev
a couple of years ago we stayed at the "mango farm" which is across the "crossing "it has about 20 powered sites and amenities were clean and the people friendly
or if you can find room you can
free camp at the crossing (no facilities that we saw) and no shade
sorry thats at
daly river

yep seemed OK to me and they sold
well priced Buffalo meat. Caught a few
sharks from the river there

I'm from
Darwin and when we go to the Daly we also stay at the Mango
Farm. Call them first to
check that the river isn't flooded at the crossing.

Thanks for the replys,
Looks as though we

Farm, I have spoken to a mate up in the teritory and apparently it is still pretty wet, he hasn,t been to the Daley but I will call and ckeck river level bofore going that way. Failing that I believe
Shady Camp is possible.
Cheers, Nev.

g'day neville, wooliana on the daly is also a top spot, green grass and a swimming
pool. years ago[late 80's early nineties] i used to haunt the daly on my days off from working at a gold
mine at
pine creek,we used to
camp right up the end of the road that goe's past wooliana but i don't think you can now.
the newish
boat ramp is near wooliana and there is a jetty at the park.
try fishing the creek mouths downstream,[charlies,no fish, elizabeth creeks] and close to the bank on the big sweeping s bends . upstream at bamboo creek used to be a
good spot at times too.
cheers sparra.
