I have been told that you cannot fit a rear antenna bracket for a Barrett HF to a GU patrol with a Cooper AT spare, due to the AT's being taller that the Bridgestone's that come with it. Anybody had experience with this and found a work around?

Hi outahere
I don't think this is the case. I have seen GU Patrols with the autotune fitted to a bracket that sits between the door and the carrier.
I have a bracket that I am having modified for my GU and Codan autotune. The tyres are 285/75R16

Hello outahere,i have barrett hf on gu patrol std tyre
bridge'st doesnt come closer than 2 inches at any point.so cooper would have to be over 4 inch bigger dia to even come close, BUT if cooper was signifigantly FATTER you might have a problem as the side of the std casing touches the horizontal arm of the bracket.
Happy travelling, give romeo 149 a shout sometime me.

In
Adelaide, Electric Bug stock a tubing bracket (zinc plated and powder coated) for about $120. I was looking at them this week.
