I am looking to buy a '89 Pajero box-shaped model, V6, 5 speed manual on LPG. I'm told that it has a gas head fitted (receipts to prove), with low K's on the clock. No RWC is to be supplied, asking price $4000-. What are typical roadworthy items you would expect on this vehicle and approx cost???
Its primary task is to tow a small caravan.
Cheers Lyndon.

by low k's i assume you mean under 200,000 for a car that old. I think 4k is off the mark, there is a later model near me (side of road), the rounded one, 91 mod, with 180k's for 3.5k. Its also the 7 seater. It is not perfect but a lot better than the older one. Also you should be able to pick up the TDI model in the 89 for less than 4k.The early V6 is not the greatest engine getting around and I would would say 2k is closer to what I would want to pay for it.

The vehicle has bull-bar, driving lights, tow bar, sidesteps, aircon and power steering with 193 K's.Tires are iffy for a RW and i dont no about the rest . It presents well, only to be used as a second vehicle. I thought 4K was too dear but wasn't sure of its value especially with a RWC.
