Hi,

I'm specifically looking for comments from people who have the new Bushman with the GD30 FDC ACC 12V Compressor, not the Danfoss compressor. The good, bad and ugly.

Thanks,

Han.

Hi G,

The ACC compressor is a very high quality compressor and is still made in Italy or Spain depending on labour cost at the time.

Our new Sidewinder fridge uses the same unit.

Have a look at this test.

Hi Mainey

The fridge has an electronic thermostat and is fully adjustable.

Our hysteresis figures are basic fluctuation in room temperature of our shed as stated in the test. We did not run twin 'live' tests to see actual hysteresis influence on our fridge, it was a 3 day test and covered all temperature variations of a typical day.

Derek,
What's the number of degree's variation (hystereses) between the 'degree' that the fridge turns 'on' and then 'off' again, as used in the fridge test ??

Eg:
Temp variation number when fridge turns 'on' @ +6 degree and then 'off' again @ +1 degree, = hystereses of 5 degree.
Is this hystereses number adjustable, eg; from 5 down to 4, or from 5 up to 6 degree ???

As the temperatures were taken at "uneven time intervals", it's therefore not possible to know if the minimum and maximum temperature numbers are represented in the chart.

This is not a fault or "bad" comment, it's only a question that I'm not sure I can ask any other way, it's simply to ascertain the highest and lowest temperatures with-in the fridge cabinet, as the highest and lowest temps are not actually specified with-in the test data.

Hi Mainey

4wd monthly will be testing the fridge soon and we will have more comparative tests.

The average time for temp pull down is 8 to 10 mins after opening the fridge. The compressor on to off temp is around 4 deg C.

Hi Mainey

I know and I hope to do very well with this unit and the new 70L one I am designing that will have the option of user adjustable chest or upright configuration. We hope to have 3 models by the end of next year.

Here is a picture of the digital control panel. The 'S' button is for service options like forced override when needed.

Regards

Derek.
