Has anyone purchased the Tojo service manual (in my case for HZJ105) on CD-ROM and what do they think of it?

It is only $86 retail - may even get a discount off that, but want to know how good it is, say compared to Gregory's.

Cheers
Andrew.

Andrew

$86 sound a lot - i have one for each of my vehicles, paid $15 for one and less for the other. (my cars aren't Toyota)
I don't need to buy Gregorys anymore.

I'm no mechanic, but they have been sufficient enough for me to use for changing out suspension etc.

Simply print out the job, do it, throw the instructions in the bin, no more grease covered Gregory's pages.

enjoy

Hi Andrew
I have made my own that covers my series 75 Troopy , also covers series 70 / 75 1990-1999 and 80 series 1990 - 1997.
It has gregory's and Haynes on 1 CD There is 3227 files in 57 folders , the CD self loads when inserted, took me bloody weeks of scanning and work putting it all together . I have sold a couple for 20 bucks .....Shhh hush , what's that word....copyright and I have given a couple of copies to friends.

I went to my local Toyota dealer last Saturday to get a manual for my new LC100 V8 Auto and was advised Toyota dont sell Workshop Manuals any more, either in paper form or on CD ROM.

I walked out disgusted saying that a call to my local Toyota dealer in the middle of the GRR would be of great help, even if I could call them.

Went to down the road Auto One and picked up a paper based manual (fit for task) for $49. Not the best manual, but contained sufficient detail to point out where all the bits were, and best of all, comprehensive wiring diagrams something needed these days.

Would still like to get a CD-ROM genuine Manual though.

If it's got the V8 on this one I'll let you know.

Cant comment specifically on the TOJO manual, but $86 is a bit steep. Have alook on ebay and you can generally get one for around the $15 mark, or look hard enough on the web and get one for free. Often the vehicle specific forum sites will have a manual downloadable.
