Hi all
I have noticed that a desert pass is requirred for the Innamincka Regional Reserve. Does anyone know what area this includes. Or what areas around Innamincka you can visit without a pass. I think it is a bit steep to pay $85 to visit if you only plan to spend a few days in the region.

Thanks for all information in advance.

G'day Floyd,
You can camp in the town common just near the town on the Cooper, its a great spot, and you dont need a pass. However the desert parks pass is well worth the money, it is full of maps and info on the local flora fauna geology and history and it covers the entire South Australia.

Visited the area last year and bought a pass for a few days at the Parks office in Innamincka. Only cost a few dollars.....

Floyd,

As said, the maps provided are excellent. Also useful for future planning. You also now recieve trek notes on drives that can be done in the area. Fantastic.

Enjoy yourself up there. It is one of my favourite places in Oz. With all the rain they have had it should be beautiful up there at the moment.Just Do It!

The Strezlecki Track trek note her on ExplorOz explains where you can camp in Innamincka without the pass and where you need it. Plus other info about services in Innamincka etc. Updated a few weeks ago with new input from locals.ExplorOz
