Well - it's Good Friday - and we are still sitting at
home wondering where to go - (from Frankston) - Not too far - Holey Plains State Park?
Lakes Entrance?
Maybe tomorrow morning we'll hitch up and just head up the Princes Highway and see where we stop -
Anyone got any good ideas? Self sufficient campers with off road camper -

Julie
Head off to
Licola. The guys up there have had a rough time recently and need the visitor dollar. Plenty of
camp sites throughout the area.
Have a good time.

We're still at
home as
well. Have to work. Can't go anywhere anyway, too bloody wet. But if you do go anywhere, enjoy.

Julie.
Go to the airport and jump onto a Freedom Air flight to
Hamilton NZ. Very cheap according to the TV adds. A bracing 15dg C at night. Clear skies, see every star there is, nothing will bite you, slithering, multi legged or two. LOL

Hi Julie
Have a look under the
Treks tab on this web site. I'm stuck
home and don't live in
Melbourne anyway, but I reckon I can see two or three
treks I'd do for the rest of the weekend with a 4WD & camper.
If you are not real experienced have a look at trips No 69, 70, 74, 76 for starters. Bet you'd find somewhere nice to go in them, or as Kim said, try
Licola.
You can probably pick up maps you don't have at servos, or on line the RACV or Google Maps will get you some info on line.
Go for it -
Easter is to get the tent wet!

Thanks for all the suggestions - but in the end decided to head off into a motel for two nights - ended up at
Lakes Entrance - the weather was fantastic - been there heaps of times - but alway sa great place to go back to - drove up to
Buchan Caves reserve on Sunday - boy has that place chnaged since we were last there - gone are the times of pick a spot and pitch your tent - organised
campground - nice, but a bit shady if you want to run solar - good amenities - - but I think I would have to look for somewhere a bit less structured and just visit
the caves area.
Sometimes you just need to motel it and enjoy the service - heading off in June for a month in Qld camping so will get plenty of it then.
hope you all enjoyed your
Easter Eggs and Hot X Bums
