Yep.....
well and truly. but it's a scary bloody thing
:The real joke of this vehicle is that a variomatic gearbox gives the same speed forward and reverse.
So if you rotate both rolls in the same direction this vehicle moves at a frightening speed sideways. :
BLOODY HELL ....HERE I COME

Those blokes are definitely mad.
Did you see what generator they were using?
I reckon that they should have trusted the humble Honda ")

Hey Doug, speaking of similar forward/reverse speeds, did you know the Unimog has 8 gears forward and 8 reverse...??? They cannot travel sideways which is really quite a good thing as 80+km/h backwards was pretty bloody scary...

Blue,
All things can travel sideways, it just gets a bit unsafe when in a Unimog when it going sideways at 80+Km/h LOL

The only time I have had one on a mud flat it took about 13 hours of ass puckering digging to get it out. :(
Never drive one on Mangrove flats even if one has already made it to the other side.

Hi Doug,
Alcoa had one of these (
well, very similair looking) on their mudlakes some ~20 years ago as a trial. Was used to turn the mud over and allow it to dry. Never saw it running but saw the scroll trails on the mud. I don't think its been used for many a year but thought you may be suprised to know there was one in WA for a while (not sure where it ended up).
Cheers
Captain
