I was at Supa cheap today and with the 20% off sale could get one for $75.
It is a voltage sensing unit cuts off starter battery below 12.5v and charges auxillary above 13.5v. Was easy to put in and thought for the price was good enough for me. So far seems to be working fine. Any one have problems with them. Im sure I will get many replies saying I should have got a redarc or piranhna no doubt.
cheers

Hi Pixie
They are OK.
I would have bought the Redarc off ebay for $95.00 and got the 2 year REDARC warranty but you should be happy with it as they are very similar.
Regards
Derek.

Like most things it will be ok until it breaks down, very basic electronics complicated by the internet, you should be ok.

G'day, have had one in my 80' for about 2 years now and never had any trouble (touch wood) Best buy I've made I think. My second battery (deep cycle) has a 1000watt inverter running off it plus all my accessories and the isolator has'nt skipped a beat yet. Enjoy!
Cheers

Pixie,
I would
check that the voltages that it is supposed to cut out and in are actually accurate. I bought one from a large supplier once and checked the voltages with a multimeter and an adjustable power supply and it was grossley inaccurate with the voltages. I took it back and made my own.
Cheers
