Went for a drive yesterday to show a Kiwi work mate around the Victorian bush and check out where the fires had been through. We drove from Woods Point to Walhalla via Brooklyn Town, Johnson Hill, Victor Spur, Red Jacket, etc. Some pretty amazing regrowth happing in such a short amount of time. Just goes to show how much the Aussie bush is built for a good burning every now and then.

These photos taken at the top of the climb up Brewery Track out of Woods Point.

A few people were camping in around Brooklyn Town, very pretty but still dry and dusty.

Have a good easter

Wazza,

It looks good,
I cant wait to get amongst it again soon, I was in the area just after the fires went through and it is a big contrast to these pics.
The Aussie bush is pretty resilient when recovering from such devastating fires.

Cheers Kev

Looks good, even better in another few months, for any one interested this is what that same area looked like just after the fires.
Just north of Woods Pt.

You have an Ozi PLT in your (hot)mail.

Here is a map. We were by ourselves and only had the day, so nothing too difficult. Only saw a hand full of cars and bikes off the main roads.

Great pics Wazza
when we visited Licola, and up to the Mt Howitt road , to the airstrip, was an absolute mess..
I love the regrowth, but the price you pay to get it is erosion, and it's just dangerous.
But will not stop me going back up there time and time again !

Cheers Mate
