Information

Walhalla was founded as a gold mining community in 1862. As of the 2016 census there are only 20 permanent residents with the rest of the houses in the town being holiday homes. The centre of town is full of restored heritage buildings. North Gardens Campground (1km from town) welcomes tourists to camp.
