Hi Mal i think you mean relay not resistor
You will need to run a new relay and connect the supply to the battery
and activate the the relay via a switch connected from the high beam circuit.
may be some one will post a diagram or a link to one.they are not to hard to connect up.
I only ever made one mistake
and that's when I thought I was wrong!

Hi guys - this is a first time for me.

I tried to wire up a new set of driving lights last night but I have a problem.

My driving lights come on with low beam not high beam.

I guess I have used the wrong headlight wire but I only used the one that goes into the back of the high beam lamp so I cant see why it wont work.

Any ideas??

Hi what i use is a 12 volt test pen probe only a few dollars at an auto shop.
Remove the cover around the steering colum and pick up the high beam wire from the control stalk at the conection plug.just flick the switch on and of till you locate the wire and then tap in to it ,then run a wire to a toggle swith mounted it in the dash and then run a wire from that to a relay in the engine bay for the driving lights.
