uhf repeaters

can any body tell me do you have to pay to use these repeaters or just use them if you have to pay for use how do you go about it89 nissan looking foward to august and more travelling

You don't have to pay for the use of UHF repeaters, and it is a requirement of License that the owner cannot restrict your use of it. Unless they turn it off, and that doesn't help anyone.

Repeaters can be turned on & off remotely, if need be. Hooroo...
