The springs in my troopy are sagging, about 60mm below what they should be in the front and sagging in the rear also but not quite as bad. I m wondering whether I should just get them re-set or get new ones. I would prefer to have the extra money in my back pocket for our trip up north, but I would also like to not be paying for a tow truck half way between
Cairns and
Cape York. I have heard some good things about "Allset springs'' up here in Qld. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Joe

Hey Bluey221.
I have owned 3 troopies over the last 10 years, I always took them to L&S springs to have them reset as soon as I bought them.
These trucks worked 6 days a week, carrying 9 pax and a full camping trailer, I never had a problem with the reset springs.
Put the extra money in your pocket.
Cheers Steve.

The local springmaker, Industrial Springs in
Adelaide would normally reset and add an extra leaf. We have a 60series in the family that had this done about 15 years ago, and
the springs are still fine, so if they are done properly, its OK.

Hi Joe,
I had an old (1979) Troopy. The original springs sagged so I replaced them with aftermarket (Opposite Lock from memory) These were longer in the leaf, giving a bit of lift and longer travel. These springs did not sag nearly as much but in the 20 years I owned the truck they were reset once.
In Queensland there is a guy in Kippa Ring - Paul Jarman of
Redcliffe Springs and
Suspension who knows his stuff and is not tied to a particular product.
If he is local to you give him a call. He does resets as
well as selling new springs.
Mike.
