Does anyone have any info on fishing and camping around Kununurra WA, I have tinnie with a 30hp outboard which I tow with my patrol. I would appreciate a place I can use both.
Thanks
Craig

I think you will find one or two places to do both. Depends if you want to go out in the cambridge gulf , then there is the keep river or the lower Ord or the 54 klms between lake Kununurra and Lake Argyle

G'day Craig

I was there in 04 and heard a few stories about outboard motor legs being broken on the Ord River because of the submerged rocks etc. There a a couple of guides up there; Maccas Barra camp and Maddog is the other I think. I never used them but have heard reasonably good reports. Lots of big fish etc at the right time of year. The other option is to head out towards El Questro and have a go on the Pentecost River. I'm not sure how the camping works out there but it is pretty remote. You can always do as the locals do and flick lures of the causeway at Ivanhoe Crossing despite the knee high rushing water and croc signs, always good for a thrill. Sorry I can't give you more info but I didn't have my boat up there and it was the wrong time of year anyway.

Cheers

Wes

Check out this link on Home Valley Station, only a few k's from the Pentercost River crossing. We stayed there in 2002, but it's in different hands now. It was very friendly and laid back then.
