Aahhhh..yes.
I must've read the information incorrectly. Do that sometimes.
It states last update 11April 2007 but last report was 5 October and I read that as 5 April. My new glasses do not seem to be working as
well.
Anyway me mate Dave below seems to know the real guff. So enjoy your trip.
PS. There are corrugations everywhere. Just lower your tyre pressures when on these roads. You could go down as lkow as 20psi as long as you keep the speed below 80kmh
Cheers

John, 4 hours usually, but it's 330Kms and about half of it is dirt.
Depends how long since the
grader has been along there.
I am local and have done it many times.
You want to stop and have a look around at
Milparinka at Charles Sturt's cairn and Pooles grave while you are there. The courthouse too at Milparika is interesting.
If you want to drop me an email,

Thanks Dave
Will try and suss some road info tomorrow re the
grader, so far the corragations in Mungo and Murry sunset parks have cost me an aerial (UHF) and a driving light cover (as
well as agro on my part), missus not iterested in gettig shaken apart again, may have to leave her behind and just take the boy (like I would get away with that).
As an aside what is BH going to do with the mines closing up in another two years? Already noticed shops closing and bank forclosure on some business since we where here 20 odd months ago?

Your right Bonz. I misread the post.
When I saw 4.5 hours travel from Tib, I didnt think Camerons Corner.
But 4.5 hours to Camerons Corner !!!!
Easy if you want to stop and take lots of photos or get stuck on the Waka claypan. or go around via the jumpups.
Effie, sorry if I lead you up the garden path, (the wrong one)!

John, there are 2 different developers wanting to spend more than $15m on shopping centres and blocks of land for housing that were around 15 - 20K a few years ago are now 50-60K.
Plenty of life in the old town yet.
Another EO member has come to town to start development for more mining for CBH.
I know the roads you went on at Mungo and I don't think there would be any worse ones than the
Arumpo road, that is a shocker.
The
Tibooburra road will be much better than that.

A mate of
mine works on the R.T.A.as a
grader operator, he said the
Tibooburra road is not to bad, a bit rough in spots thats all. He is pretty sure that the road from
tibooburra to camerons corner is or has just been graded. all the best and enjoy.

Lovely scenic area....getting to Tibaburra is also an adventure, i remember going through Mootwingiee then past one tree and coming out at Packsadle...that road is very scenic....
sturt National Park is also supposed to be good....IF you are interested in Sturt at all, drop into the National Parks in the main street of Tibuburra and have a look at the re-enactment....awsome...its just b4 his boat :)

Thanks for all the replies, decided to plan it for next time as did not wish to spend the 4 hours doing corragations at 20k/ hr in second gear and the tyres at 25psi (this is what we where doing when the UHF aerial departed company with the car)
Have now also found the front body mount has split as
well (ute only 18 months old). Oh
well another excuse to visit again. Spoke to some people in the know and there appears to be one
old mine being reopened (Delpats?) and a couple of new ones just out of town which will require approx 500 new employees, as stated by others plenty of life left in BH and glad to see it.
