Did any of you old farts go or have anything to do with the Woomera 60th anniversary. I was out there for the 50th 10 years ago as my father was the first serviceman to drive a vehicle onto the rocket range sight in 1947. He was in the airforce transport section and was driving the lead vehicle in the first convoy that went there. We were invited this year but not enough notice and we had other Easter adventures planned and Dad and Mum are to frail to travel that distance on there own.

Yep sure did, along with Roachy, Pud & Barb, Muddy Doe, from this site, and some others from our YP4WD club.
Have no ties with Woomera, but have been shown around the place up there a few times and there is always something new to see.
Carefull with the OLD FART bit too LOL
Was mentioned in post 44148.

Yep Pesty,
Im proud of being an OLD FART!!!
It's like a fine wine, the aroma becomes more mellow with time. Or maybe fried onions and baked beans dont do it any more. hehehe!

regards.............Lionel.
