Towed a Dual axle Camper that way. Mostly a good dirt road. I have never camped at Wilcannia, to many things that go "bump" in the night.

Have heard the van park is ok though.

Tony,

being completely unfamiliar with the part of the world that you speak of, but certain to visit that area one day, could you explain to me what you mean by "too many things that go bump in the night"?

Cheers,

Russ.

Oh, OK. I get it. Been there, done that at some places here in West Oz.

Thanks,

Russ.

I personally wouldn't camp in Wilcannia unless I really had to and there was no other option......I was going to stop there for lunch one time in passing through and then thought better of it once I got there......IMO, not the nicest place in the world, far from it.....

Check the calender. If it pension day or a few days afterwards dont even consider slowing under 80km down main road in town. Wouldnt camp there if you payed me. On average the coppers there last 2-3 months. Though to be fair I havent been there for about five years. Try and give it a miss if you can. Stay at minendiee instead.

G'day aka,

Have never towed a van that way but I agree with the rest - do not camp there o/night. Better off wandering up the river to Tilpa and staying at the pub there - or camping on the river close by.

Cheers
