Maybe Davoe can aswer this one - is Rowles Lagoon full, is access OK & is Ora Banda pub open again? Can you go up to Lake Ballard from Rowles? Have the rains drowned the statues? Going to Laverton to start GCR middle of May & already seen lots of the bitumen roads - . Cheers Heather

havnt been to rowles for a while but it wont be full i did hear it had some in it though - maybe enough for a paddle.
was at the ora banda a couple of weeks ago - yep its reopened and going well. Yes you can get from Rowles to Lake ballard by continuing on to Daveyhurst and up the snake hill road. From there it is a short detour on the menzies road to ballard before backtracking and getting to leonora via riverena and granite creek

Hi - we have just got back from there - last week.
We are going to publish the route and pics this week from Coolgardie - Rowles Lagoon - Ora Banda. The pub is open (from 12noon weekdays). The rain was very minimal and there was hardly any moisture on Lake Ballard, other than the usual salt lake mush. All these sites are now easily accessible due to road upgrades as part of the Golden Quest Discovery Trail and is being promoted for caravanners etc. Will definatley have all data - plot files, trek notes, photos, waypoints etc published within the fortnight in time for your trip I hope!

I was at Rowles Lagoon 3 weeks ago and the water level was pretty low. Still plenty of water but a long way from being full. The track into Rowles is easy going.

Cheers
