Spotted ExploreOz number plate & friendly staff (David & Michele) on the Holland track last Monday ( also Mellisa & hubby following) long lime no hear on the forum.
Hope you had a great trip. Track in good condition 2WD all the way (I avoided the mud puddles) (why get dirty).

Hi Rox,
Yes, nice to see you and so many other ExplorOz members/visitors out there!! Member Melissa with us did comment that the track was less closed in, and not as slow as 4 years ago when they did it last. Very pretty drive, but not 4WD. Our first trip there but field checked our Trek Note (so updates coming). Interesting to note the variations between the route marked in the WesPrint guide, and our Trek Note - with the southern end of our Trek exactly following the HT markers and accurate route to Holland camps. Our Trek is the route as set out by Graeme Newbry - for purists!

After doing the HT, we did a circuit to the north via Rowles Lagoon, Ora Banda, Lake Ballard, Niagara Dam, Kookyine, Yerilla, Gindalbie, Kanowna, Kalgoorlie, Burra Rocks, Cave Hill, Hyden, Brockton, HOME. Spent our time browsing cemeteries, historic sites - immersed in pioneer mining history. As a female, I'm glad to live in this century.

Also spotted 4 EO stickers driving down the main street of Kalgoorlie, including one out of the front of Montys where we had lunch on Thursday and 4 in the car park of the superpit at the time of the explosion.

Glad we made it home on Saturday nite - was able to unpack before the torrential rain on Sunday but it'll take me another week to get through the mountain of washing with such bad drying weather. Hope to see the sun again soon.

Did you get any rain, was at Wave Rock on Easter Sunday/Monday, and got real wet at Mulkas cave and the Humps while on walk.

Planning to do the HT in August in new 4wd, dont want to scratch it yet!!!
