I thought I would pass this on , just speaking with my mum this morning, she is one of the grey nomads travelling our great country in a motorhome, her house batteries have not been charging up so wondered if the solar panels might need a clean, went up to clean them and guess what , NO SOLAR PANELS , yep they have been stolen $2200 worth.

g'day mate,

there are two panels missing from the top of Mt Tingaringy also. They are huge, may have been removed legally but I doubt it.

Further on these low lifes, my friend had the drivers window smashed in her new subaru the other day and the mongrels pinched the monitor for the reversing camera mounted on the windscreen. Only went intop the shops for some milk & bread.

Anyone have any comments/answers on these types of security issues apart from a rottweiller!!

I personally would like the law to allow me to electrically charge a sensor on the underside of my door handles. This would be to give a substantial electric shock to anyone trying to open my doors without turning off the alarm or a switch of some sort.

Never be allowed but I can dream.

Now what you needed, was a blue heeler inside with a BAD attitude to anyone who touched dad's car - without permission. Bet your monitor would still be there.

To make an effort towards making these people stop their "anti-social" behaviour, just make sure you NEVER buy anything "on the cheap" - one of the reasons they continue to steal is because there is still a market for stolen goods. I know some people steal for their own benefit (ie: they keep what they steal) but many are stealing to pay for either a drug habit or because the "bleeps" are too lazy to work for a living. That's one area that I think the real Muslims have it right - off with a hand - real punishment.

you would be surprised what goes missing and how quick it can happen

had a call from a customer the other day saying thet her d/side air bag had been stolen. when she reported it to the police, they told her that 7 had been taken that night from the one street...
thats keen!!!!!!! not only being able to get it out in the dark without blowing a hand off, but doing 7 in a row and hoping to not be disturbed.
wish i was that brave

Considering they are over $2000 each, x that by 7 = a good wage.

they obviously had the detailed technical knowledge to get into the airbag with-out it 'going off' and (maybe) hurting them, and as said above probably were 'needed' by smash repairer ??

The really sad part of these events is the bitterness it creates in normally decent and reasonable folk,

I've never really gotten over having my Landcruiser stolen about 2 years ago. Even now, my wife and my mates reckon I get verbally very nasty when talking baout thieves and crims in general.

I no longer have any compassion for 'em. I suffer no excuses for thier behaviour and would willingly shoot 'em - after a fair trial of course,,,,,,,,,

Perhaps there is a place for certain aspects of Sharia Law.

The real stupid part of the so called justice system we employ in Australia is that you rob a bank for a couple of thou and get 14 plus years yet rob a private person of their 50+thousand $ car and just get a slap on the wrist .
