Hi,
I recently purchased a new 70 series workmate land cruiser ute. I was wondering if anyone has been able to chase up flares for the new utes?? Apparently theres a lengthy wait from toyota, arb and tjm??

Hello, I haven’t got an answer to your question I guess you’re after the fibre glass type and not the rubber ones that are readily available? Just wondering the fuel consumption figures that Toyota are quoting some thing around 11.5 – 11.9 do they come close? What figures are you getting? Sorry the reason I’m asking is that I have the wagon on order, get this Toyota don’t even have prices on the accessories yet GRRR!!

Cheers and all the best,
stamps

Could fit the 35mm rubber flares for now, and then fit the flashy ones at a later date. They are under $100 for the two front ones.

I wouldn't fit either, the rubber ones look daggy when they sag and get older. The fibreglass ones (tjm) are exy, need painting, and are great for carving a huge scratch where they contact when the dust gets behind the rubber, and could be a potential rust haven where they seat on the guard.

I have the tjm fibreglass ones and I will not bother again when santa sends me my new 70 series-took one for a drive and was well impressed!

Cheers
Matt

Thanks fellas for the ideas,
Ill have to look out for the rubber flares. I havnt seen them before on any utes around this area but sounds like they do the job. For fuel consumption the new cab chasis's are excellent. Not exactly what is promised on the brochure but coming from a 99 turbo patrol, im not hard to please.
