Hi all we are heading to NT in June this year towing an off-road goldstream camper behind my 2002 nissan patrol(3ltr).We are going to Lawn hill and then would like to go towards Burketown and then onto Hells Gate roadhouse and head the Savannah way towards Borroloola. I would also like to go to Lorrella springs. Is this possible with the camper trailer in tow or is the going too tough for this type of camper. The trailer has strong 7 leaf springs with a shock absorber fitted either side. While I am keen to do this I do not want to destroy camper. Did cape 2 years ago did not take camper and would not take a camper on roads that are as corrugated as the development road was.

Yeah should be OK. Just drive to road conditions and run lower tyre pressures on Nissan and trailer when on the dirt.

BTW Hells Gate Roadhouse is not open and is no longer trading.

Hi Joe - keep a lookout for a white 4.2td GU (with a Exploroz cover on the spare) towing a Coromal poptop - we plan on being at Lorella springs around 21st or 22nd June, then on to Roper bar, Esley NP etc....................Keith
