Just occurred to me that Anzac day is in middle of next
week and it might be a good opportunity to meet people
out of our normal groups.

I'm willing to fit into any plan, and realizing that
many on this site prefer the touring camping side of things
rather than finding the hardest tracks , I would expect
primary aim is to meet and talk - maybe re-convene in the nearby
bush and put up a campfire and check out some equipment.

Can certainly do an impromtu drive from mild to Patrol only level
if so desired.

So I suggest a meet at Glenburn United roadhouse on Yarra Glen to Yea
rd for a coffee 9-9:30 and see what happens from there

Note - above is starting suggestion only and would only proceed if
a few were interested.

Hi Muzbury

Thats good, I don't know you well enough to know who Darling is - but my wife will come and says its worth the drive just for the cappicino.

These things are often hard to get people motivated into so in trying to
lower the involvement threshold I thought a neutral place within a hour
of much of melbourne is reasonable and 9-9:30 would enable those who might
need to get back to a family BBQ etc to do so before lunch, and also offer
time to enjoy some easy bush if things go that way.

Thought it might be name , thats nice

Initial place to meet is just up road at roadhouse at unitied service station , theres a couple of old picnic tables there - don't think hotel is open that early - but on one occasion I was at roadhouse for an hour while friends were at the pub - still reckon I had the best coffee !

What with all the current controversial issues - we don't even have enough takers for a decent arguement.

I am curious as to what "Patrol only level" constitutes?

Hi Shaker

I guess we could probably have a whole thread with various views on " Patrol only level".
I was probably being a bit cheeky because at the end of the day if you can have a car that keeps all its wheels turning then they all go much the same place,
although some take a lot more damage than others.

However last monday , I think in post 44362 , I was lamenting a bit about people assuring me they could go where the big cars went and then spending a lot of time dragging them up behind, probably this was in the back of my mind at the time.
