Hi all, just a little question on bushes.
Giving the Mk a little birthday, oils, filters, belts, hoses, plugs, leads, dizzy cap, points,[yep still has them] and
suspension bushes.
I asked our local autopro outlet to order in a full set of bushes and not being an expert in this area I asked that they order the best quality bushes currently available.
Everything arrived within 8 hrs, very impressed. Job done and all
well.
They supplied Nolathane bushes but just fingering through a 4WD magazine noticed an ad for Urethane bushes.
Not complaining but just wondering are these brand names or are they different materials ?
Many thanks,
Lionel.

simple answer is both.. brand and material.
urethane is slightly softer material.
it's no surprise that you are doing the shackle bushes. very common. it may be worth having a good look at the shackle itself as
well. when the bushes wear (depending on how bad) they also can have worn. they are rellatively cheap from mitsu..

Thanks donks,
So if one's softer than the other what advantage do either have over the other ?
Cheers mate,
Lionel.

With the urethane bushes, if you're not using greasable shackles, then during installation, lubricate the shaft and inside of the bush with some moly grease. Otherwise they can squeak, and not move
well.
