Hi huys!
Just a quick question for the guys running toyota landcruiser 80 serie on LPG ....
How many kms can you drive (country driving) with a full tank of gas ... and maybe how big is your gas tank ...
Thanks!

Maybe just add if you are asking about auto or manual, as my old auto GQ was shocking on gas around 30lt per hundred but I was told the manuals were much better.

Mate, I was getting 18 litres per 100km out of my 80 on gas with it cut into a dual cab, tray sticking out (drag), 6 inch lift (drag) and taller tyres.
I get about the same from my 105.

Hi Luca, I recently fitted gas to my 98 80 series and couldn't be happier.

With straight country driving I can get 430kms from the 90L tank (4.7 km / L ) . With a mix of town & country it is still around the 400kms and with my 16'6" pop top van this drops to around 340 kms ( 3.7 kms / L ).

I think if you removed the roof rack you could see an improvement of 5 kms / L. If its not too hard to remove give it a try, you will be surprised.

Btw, I have an auto GXL with alloy bar, 8" spotties BFG AT's 285's all of which chew fuel.

Regards

Neil.

I thought older gas systems used twice as much gas as the petrol, so 30/100 sounds about right for an 80. The savings are in cost and emmissions, not fuel. As for diesel on LGP, well that's another matter...

Thanks! I will try to remove the roof rack ... and the right foot from the accelerator!
