The jewie was caught on a day charter out of
Darwin.
Left port at 6.10am and at 10.00am still hadn't caught a fish. Kid next to me had pulled in 2 golden snapper and every one else had caught at least one good snapper.
At this stage I was a tad frustrated.
The skipper then moved us to Bass reef and at about 11.00 I caught a couple of snapper then at 12.30 pm I thought I had a snag, until I saw the line peeling of the reel. Ten minutes later I had landed a 29lb jewie and was over the moon.
Next fish will be a barra.
Happy fisher Bob

Sorry Hairy
It was Arafura blue water charters.
The skipper and dekkie were great. The missus was impressed with the catch and gave her royal permission to go again.
Although it worries me that she increases my insurance policy when I go out on a boat!

Hairy
One of the reasons I was impressed with them was their attitude.
They did not waste time hanging around if if fish were not being caught. They kept moving further out until we struck good spots.
They worked hard and were very good.

The day I went out with them was that rough we had a vote before we left on wether we were going out or not! We had a wave break in the boat and land a crab on the deck, and half of the people threw their ring up (just made more room for us to fish).
Even in those conditions everyone had a ball and come
home with heaps of fish.
Could not had a better crew I reckon.
Cheers
