We bought a Waeco CF 80, two and a half years ago from the Fridge Shop and to date it has performed faultlessly.

Previously we had an Engel 39L and it too, was a gem. We moved to an 80L Waeco.

Why did we move from Engel to Waeco??? Simple really.....value for money.

We thought at the time it was a bit of a punt, going away from the tried and proven Engel. Anyway we took the gamble and haven't looked back.

The internal design and flexibilty of the CF80 in unbeatable. Fridge/freezer or all fridge or all freezer gives us the options we need.

$1,000 for an 80L fridge is incomparable.

We're extremely happy.

Just my feedback,

Jim.

"Fridges are fridges are fridges...." Yes Willam but we need a pointless contentious topic like fridges that everyone can't help but open so that we can see Jimbo's new Rig Pic ;-) Have you heard he's selling DRAW SYSTEMS now. I love advertising by stealth. Sutble as a sledge hammer :-))
Move along.........nothing to see here.
Cheers Craig.............

Willie,

Your eyes are OK. The ad link wasn't there when you looked. Something went amiss and I reloaded it this morning.

Cheers,

Jim.

Think you should use your commercial front Jimbo, not the members one. You have made it plain in the past, you will always try to get a lot for nothing, thats why you haven't been a member. We can respect advertisers that are ethical or they will develop a profile like BillS did.

Perhaps you can give us the advertiser link Jimbo as you don't come up under searches for "drawers" or "storage". When will you have it set up?

Jim, nice touch with both a followup & a reply to my comment, putting up 2 more photo's of that wonderfully well constructed rear draw system. (All jokes aside it does look like an excellent product & a great web site too)
You must forgive me for my sceptical nature particually when another fridge comment is posted which goes no further to adding any useful information on the topic........
2.5 years trouble free.......Is this some special milestone in fridge longivety?
"Value for money".....Yep, I think I've heard that a few hundred times before.
"unbeatable......internal design and flexibilty".......What's so unbeatable about it that no other fridge has, you forgot to mention?
My point......... I'm guessing this post has less to do with fridges than what's in the pictures.
Your point as to me not being a member eludes me as well as unless things have changed recently you don't have to be a member to join in the forum.
Agression..........naa, you've misread me, I find it quite amusing actually:-)
Cheers Craig...............

Hey Ray, sorry to make you look again I am in the land of stretch Hummers at the moment so it's moring here. No aggro from here, just cruisin'.......

I do think Jimbo should come clean though, next he will be telling me about his storage sytems. Be interesting when it comes down to actually getting the costs realised in his manufacturing enterprise. Doing a few in a garage is different to paying people to do the work for you. Jim is an accountant so he can work that out.

Ha ha, I visit this forum from time to time. Must say I never thought the post was an advertisement, I saw the draw picture but figured he's just a proud owner of one of the many systems on the market, not paying attention to his ad link of course.

Now that you brought the topic up I've forwarded his website link on to my husbands boss who may be interested in a cheaper draw system. Even bad publicity can be good publicity some times :)

If any of you made a product that would directly relate to the forum users here wouldn't you take the opportunity to get some exposure? Particularly in the way of utiising the free avatar picture. This is the first site I've come across that includes links to trader ads in your sig. I think it's a great feature.

I must say I do agree that posting meaningless threads for exposure isn't the best way to go about it, but the usefulness of this Waeco thread is probably subjective anyway.

I'm sure alot of us have thought about doing the same - creating quality but cheaper draw systems. I say good on him for actually giving it a go.

As for the unfounded suggestion that the drawer system is some kind of backyard operation, have a look at our website and view the construction page.

The drawers are cut and routed on a $150,000 computer controlled flatbed routing machine.

Also the description of my occupation isn't even close. I am not an accountant, not that there's anything wrong with accountants, my son is studying to be one LOL.

I'll ignore all the innuenedo and say just this.

Have a look through the archives. I have posted numerous product reviews for the benefit of others here eg Talon Chainsaw, Kipor Generator, 12 volt oven, switchmode power supply for fridges, solar panels etc etc etc.

No worries Jimbo.

Your wacko cf80 experience mirrors mine which itself only mirrors Willem's assessment that a fridge is a fridge.

Cheers
Andrew who thinks most product biases on EO are of that ilk.
