No Permit is required to travel the CSR.

Permits to exit the CSR in places will be obtainable through the ANFWDC as from 1st May 2007

Go to their website for further details

We have been invited by WDLAC to attend a meeting to discuss the permit and CSR issues mid next month. Have been involved directly with them for numerous months over the issue. Bit difficult if you are travelling early in the season to know what to suggest you do - but suggest you don't plan to visit the places listed as permit required until it's sorted out. Just stick to the normal route in the meantime. Other the Calvert Ranges being the main no-go zone, it shouldn't really affect the majorty of CSR traffic from what I can make out from the documents. The permits are to restrict traffic to the native title sites - most are out of the way off the CSR.
