Following up on a previous post regarding genuine Prado oil filters and the poor performance of the anti drain valves. We decided to try a Ryco Z334 filter at the next oil change and see if there was any difference in the time taken for the low oil pressure light to go out after starting first time in the morning.
Well the difference was astonishing with the oil light going out within 2 secs of starting cold. I can now
check the oil level at any time, with confidence, knowing I will not get a false reading from the filter draining into the sump. A visual comparison of other brands proved that the Ryco was of sturdy construction and had probably the strongest housing and seal. From now on I will be very wary of the quality of OEM's consumable parts.

still get bad ones with Ryco, put the filter on, changed oil. Started car and blew said filter off the side of motor, was a problem with the thread on the filter. Replacement new one and old one were fine, but there performance is just fine
Cheers Stefan
