hey folks, hows things?
Just a quick one. I just changed my fuel pump on my 60 cruiser. i foolishly didn't closely observe which hoses go to which connection but i assume that the inlet hose is the one that comes from the fuel filter right?
Cheers in advance..

Yes the Hose that comes from the secondary fuel filter (If fitted) will connect to the Inlet connection on the injection pump.

Just read it agene and i take it it is a diesal so you replaced the merchanical pump I.E Lift pump yes?, generally there is a filter or even 2 between the lift pump and the injection pump on industrial applications anyway not sure about automotive thou, can’t see It being any different but
I.E
Tank
Primary filter
Lift pump
Secondary Filter
Injection pump
If it were me and i only had one filtre I would be filtering after the lift pump thou.

Howdy Exploder...
Cheers 4 response mate.
It's a petrol/gas cruiser. So, i just replaced the fuel pump and figgered that the hose from the fuel filter (only 1 that i could see) was from the
tank & therefore goes to the intake. lift pump? thats specific 2 diesel right?
Cheers

i assume you mean fuel filter? you dont need to unbolt the unit, take old filter off. wipe the base of the filter clean. fill new filter with diesel, wipe a film of diesel, with your finger, around the o ring on the new filter, and screw it up, not too tight.

Petrol or Diesel?
If Diesel - 2H or 12HTmotor, fuel feed pump is down low on the block right hand side central.
Inlet is from rear of pump, outlet at front feeds up to the fuel filter top front RHS of engine.
Petrol - dunno
