As some may know we have hit the road fulltime and have now got the website up and running.

We've basically finished our extended shakedown around the coast so we'll be heading west soon to kick some dust and give the rig a good workout.

RovingOz

We'll keep a monthly log and April should be up soon. The website will evolve and the other sections will be added as we go.

Looking fwd to putting some faces to the names of some exploroz folk along the way. This website (exploroz) has certainly played a big part in our preparation and we'd probbaly still be sitting in front of the TV dribbling like the rest of the zombies without it. :-)

Stay tuned....

Looks great John.

Will follow your progress closely however I get an error when I click on the map of your progress (will this have you route on it or is it just for show?)

Lucky bugger.

David

What a great, professional looking, website - did you do it yourself? It takes a lot to have such a "sea change" of lifestyle, I am very envious. Looking forward to reading about your travels.

Cheers

Thks Captain

Designed it and built it ourselves in frontpage. Was hard at first and took a bit of work and fiddling around but simple to do now.

Cheers

Cheers Brian we are trying to keep it interesting but we still don't feel we are away from civilisation yet. Itchy to get out there.

We are following your advice...

"Do it today tommorrow may never come"

no kids helps ;-)

John & Kym,

Great site & good to see that through your site you will provide information for others who are preparing to go places.

I'm off next year for 6 months or so & already preparing & collating info that others have put together & from their (and your) experience I'll no doubt see & do things that otherwise I would have missed.

Safe travels.

John

Thks John

We thought since we benefited from other people recording their experiences we should do the same. We really appreciated reading the info on other websites.

See you out there next year.

What a great web site, we to are doing what you are but a couple of months ahead.

We will look out for you on the road. Our Web Blog can be seen at www.kilbytrip.bigblog.com.au

Three pieces of advice I would give are:

1. Get the Camps 4 book from Explore Oz for the ultimat in cheap/free roadside stops etc...
2. The council run camps are always the cheapest
3. Use Camp Kitchens in caravan parks because you will meet lots of good people with lots of good advice.

Cheers and see you on the road. We are off to central Aus and up to the cape/NT/Kimberlies as it is to cold in SA.
