Greg
Gidday all,
I was looking through some older post on UHF aerials as I broke
mine today and I saw, what I already sort of new, that a red tip is the old am band and the blue is the UHF band. But what is a black tip all about? I found one in my bag of tricks an aerial that is about 600mm in length, white in colour with a black tip.
Regards
Greg

Greg,
The tip of the aerial does not necessary mean what is for.
For the sake of not blowing up the
UHF radio because the wrong aerial was fitted, it might be time to but a new aerial.

Talked to the comms guy in town and he said it was a scanner aerial.
Bought a new aerial.
