I have a friend who is looking for a
Ranger Rover HSE Diesel 1999-2001. Plenty in England but not in Australia. Anyone know of a supplier or importer of these?

Do a
check on 15-Yr rule on car import on google.
If you want to import a late model car, you will have nothing but problems with red tapes.
Good luck.

Thats not quite correct. the biggest difference between cars older than 15yrs and newer one is the tax on them. and if they are valued at over $50000 you also get hit with luxury sales tax. I imported a 1995 range rover HSE and it didnt cost much at all. The red tape was very minimal (to my suprise) and I would do it again but I do recomend getting an agent to handle all paper work . I also owned the car for more than 1 year in the UK.

I think I forgot to metion
mine is the 4.6 HSE not the DSE (diesel) to answer both questions , its fantastice off-road, off wich it goes quite often. as for parts no problem there as its the same model imported to oz , the only thing I had to do was fit baby
seat mounts . $20 and five min's. As for the diesel Im not sure . I would say no probs with parts unless it's an engine part. Then there are plenty of online
places in the UK or US willing to ship parts. For all things rangie also try this site , they have saved me sooo much time and money over the years .
