Can anybody recommend someone in Melbourne who specialises in 4wd wheel alignments? My local tyre power was not able to align my front end due to "excessive camber reading". Something was mentioned about shimmings also. The car (95 triton) was pulling to the left when i bought it and was hoping it was a simple fix. When i stand front end facing the car, the top of the driver side tyre is angled inwards, and the top of the passenger side is angled outwards. The other problem I have is when driving slowly (i.e. reversing, taking off) and the steering left or right, i can hear and feel a knocking noise coming from the front right side. I had the cv's done a few months back which seemed to help but the noise was still there... just not so loud. Someone mentioned it could be "axle-windup". What are your thoughts?

Pro Axle in Campbellfield may be able to help but I think they mainly deal with trucks and rigid front end vehicles. I'd give them a call first and if they can't help I'm sure they will be able to put you onto somone that can.

Take it to Pedders or somewhere else that specialises in suspension only. They will put it on their alignment machine and be able to tell you straight away what the problem is and what needs to be replaced/straightened out.

In my experiance tyreshops are only good at changing tyres and doing you wheels nuts up supertight, not good at aligning suspensions.
