Toughdog suspension imported from USA ?

Heard that Toughdog suspensions shocks are from the USA - can anyone verify that and what is company name who builds the shocks in the States - if they are from the States I want to try and find out from 4Runner/Surf owners in the States what shocks & guage coils they use over there. I know Toughdog have gas shocks and also foam celled shocks with large bore capacities, have heard that Touhdog can be a bit stiff - the more info I get the better judgemental decision I'll make - hope someone can assist, Cheers Beddo
PS. I have a Surf KZN 185 with long range tank (same suspension setup as Prado as it is built on the same chassis, but the vehicle is lighter).Cheers, Beddo
