After reading / doing research of so many 4WD, today I bought a new 2007 Nissan Patrol STL common rail 3.0 Turbo Diesel including options

Tinted Windows
Dual Battery.
Total Price $60,500 GST Inclusive.
I hope this is a trouble free 4WD and I will get a good run out of it.

Its interesting that only a few months ago when the 4.2 tdi was available, the 4 pot engine version was only $49,990. Now that Renault has dropped a very reliable and suitable engine for a 2500kg vehicle, now only available in a four cylinder, its rocketed to $59,990. Why is that??? Michael

Michael
"Now that Renault has dropped a very reliable and suitable engine for a 2500kg vehicle, now only available in a four cylinder " imply's the 4.2 is Renault.
I hope I'm wrong but, I thought the 3ltr was the Renault and the 4.2 was Nissan???
But your point re price is still valid mate.
Colin.

KKC,
Congratulations on the new truck. Keep use all informed on how it goes as it will be interesting. It may also put some of the knockers to bed, though I very much doubt it.......Good Luck....
PS: The price thing is interesting........My ST 4.2 July last year with all those goodies and more and was only $56000.....Maybe more for the common-rail?????

Mine is STL. ( DX -> ST -> STS ->STL ->Ti).
I hesitated to put the purchase price in this
forum, but in order to share this info with you guys, I decide to put the purchase price in for public interest.

Mate,
I realise it is an ST-L (but the 4.2 was $6000 dearerthan the 3ltr) and I wasn't having a go at all......I have a mate that has an 06 model ST-L and it wasn't that much his was $55600. I was just intrigued that the price difference between the 3ltr and 3ltr Common Rail.......There was no malice or bagging in my comment, just curiosity.....Sorry, if I offended you as that wasn't my intent........Again as per my first post, good luck with the truck......

I'm sure you have made a good purchase and will get many kms of touring in comfort and security. I hope the latest edition proves as good as the 2002 plus models, and see no reason why it shouldn't. Good choice KKC.

Well done on the purchase. I'm sure you will enjoy years of trouble free 4WDing!
My 2003 GU3.0 has just hit 100K on the clock and is still as good as new, I have done heaps of touring with
mine (Simpson, CSR,Fraser, Cental Aus, High Country,
Robe, etc,etc etc).
Next year I will upgrade it to the 2008 ST-L.
