The following is a response from ARTC regarding a request to allow access to travel on the (dirt) tracks adjoining the Trans Continental Railway Lines....
ARTC does not allow private use of its access track parallel to the railway line.
In WA there is a public road from Parkeston (Kalgoorlie) to
Rawlinna that anyone can access and runs parallel to the railway line approx 50-100m away.

Excatly as published in the Road Conditions and Permits pages on ExplorOz for the last 6 years after ARTC advised us that these roads are closed for public access.
