g'day all i was just surfing the net looking for any info on superchargers for GQ RB30 when i came across a link for a forum talking about just that.
it took me about a minute , after reading question and a few answers to realise that i posted that question (back in november) amazing i forgot all about it.
so i thought i would post an update on that.
i have replaced the carby engine and fitted a fuel injected version,i must say WOW what a difference more power better fuel ecconomy, but still lacking a little in towing.
so if there is anyone out there who has done the supercharger conversion any info would be hugely appreciated thanks keep smiling

I have been looking at a similar vehicle lately and my understanding is they have a weaker drive train than the 4.2 petrol version so I was wondering whether this would hold up to all the extra neddies going through it.
Pezza (member on here) has a s/charged 4.2 petrol GQ and I must admit it goes pretty hard and pulls as good as my worked 4.2 diesel GU (it is a swb GQ so may be a lot lighter???) and he runs 35 pro comps to add to the equation.

If the 3lt drive train could handle it I would think it a great option but it will set you back 7-10 grand minimum I would think.

Good luck and keep us posted if you go ahead.
Regards, Trevor.

I would personally find a VL Commodore turbo setup. Bolts straight on, plenty of them about, reliable, parts are readily available. Just a thought. I have spent many years building, repairing, re-building modified cars, and have learnt the factory usually gets it right.
