Wooops... I'll try that again.
Can anyone tell me if the $88.00 barge charge is one way or return.
Thanks
Pat

Big John how are you and Deb going ? looking forward to seeing both of you and nomee.
Yes it may be dear for a 100 m but ask the bloke in the middle of the Jardine last season . We had to HF call top end moters to salvage him . All up a 12 hour job to pull him out and float him back to the top .
The 4x4 was a total write off . it sat in the river for 28 hours all up.
So $ 88 sounds cheap .
All the best

Cheap at twice the price, when you consider the alternative, as per Eric's example. After all, its only 3 cartons of beer.

It is the way to go. and the money goes to the locals. not a bad bunch. Try to get to a rugby league game the standard is good.

48 bucks for green death!! Nearly a good enough excuse to either give up, or take in a few forty pounders, and a bottle or two of lime juice.

Thanks, Dougie. Hooroo...

Thanks for the reply. 88 bucks is a cheap alternative. It about what we pay in Gladstone to get the barge over to Facing or Curtis Island and as you say the money stays local.

See Ya

We to thought it was a rip off last year when we went, but given we camped in some exquisite places for 4 weeks via the camping aspect of the permit, it worked out pretty good value at the end of the day($3 p/n).
