G'Day All,

You can purchase alloy tanks ready to go these days for around $80.

If you want something cheaper, K-Mart often have 20 litre tanks for sale for about $30

Regards

Rolande

Not a bad idea. I have a good supply of these too. The only thing I would change is to remove the handle (usually a rivet), remove the spindle, tap the hole and insert a plug and oring/ copper washer.

I wonder how it would go as being used as a reservoir for seating tyres?

You can get proper pressure tested tanks with relief valves from wreckers for $40-50ish last time we were there.
