Somebody was asking about a new horn a few days ago. Have a look at this set-up..... Not air horns, but could be as good or better, given that they are from a marine supplier....

I can already see them mounted on the bonnet of the Chevisan.

Nah mate, I've already got the "real deal" ...air horns mounted in behind the bullbar, running off a 3 litre air receiver tank, fed by the Maxair. (also runs the air locker).

they are illegal on the road
any duo tone or more with all tones being on at the same time are illegal.
you can only have one ..
if you blast in my ear with a duo tone I would take you to the cleaners
(speak court) for all sorts of charges ....and a lawyer in the family helps :)) ..
have fun

Quote: "they are illegal on the road".......... hahahahahahaha...that's one of the funniest things I've read for ages......hahahahaha
I _KNOW_ they are illegal; in the same way that my truck is totally illegal due to:
1). having 35" tyres
2). having wheels with a 20mm wider offset than factory wheels
3). having tyres which extend out beyond the sides of the factory flares
4). tipping the scales @ about 3,750kg (ie: about 700kg over the specified GVM)
5). having a LCD screen on (in place of the standard interior mirror) whenever I'm driving.....it shows me what is behind me and ISN'T switched with the reverse gear selection.....geez I'm a naughty criminal b@stard...aren't I???!!!!
6). having 6"
suspension and not being engineered for same.
7). having no sway bars
Strewth, they'll lock me up and throw away the key.....especially for having a set of dual air horns!!!! crime of the century!!!!!! hahahahahaha

Mr GMD
It is my belief that you are not quite correct, yes any duo horns are illegal, but horns used with the same tone all at once are not, many trucks have more than one horn but all work together.
Oh and if someone gives you a blast on the road from a set for any reason , then it wouldnt even get to court, horns are fitted as a warning device, and if your legal finger is so touchy that you would take a blast to court, then i think a warning is justified !!!
Cheers Pesty
